1 cup corn meal 2 cups flour 1 tsp. baking soda 1 egg (beaten) 1 1/2 cup ice cold water 4 tablespoons oil 2 teaspoons salt 2 teaspoons sugar *May add pepper or other seasonings, but not required. Roll in batter. Drop in medium hot oil one at a time to keep from sticking. |

1 quart cooking oil 10 medium onions 5 medium bell peppers 1 pound oleo 1/2 bottle tomato ketchup 1 bottle Worcestershire sauce 2 lemons 1 head of garlic 2 cans tomato paste 2 tablespoons mustard 1/2 stalk celery salt and pepper (black and red) 1/4 bottle red hot sauce Cook on low fire. Stir until sauce starts to boil. Simmer for 3 to 4 hours. Beat every hour with egg beater. |

Boil red peppers in vinegar. Drain. Run peppers through blender to a mush. Add onions and garlic. Put all back in vinegar and cook one hour. |
